The BIG PICTURE of Life with AI

I'm in it for the money.

I started my journey toward AI in 2007. I learned Python because I had an idea to machine read financial statements and "hunt" for confidence-indicating words in footnotes, CFO commentary and responses to analyst questions on call readouts.

Along with 3 other partners we built and launched Throne Capital in 2012.

As I learned more about Py and got into machine learning I just became obsessed with the idea of automating actions that make money.

Machine learning is an alchemical synthesis of mathematics and computing currently ushering in an era of unprecedented transformation for humanity.

This divine union of art and science has the potential to reshape our world, touching every facet of life.

I began reaching out to investors I knew in:

They were seeing the same lurch forward in capabilities in their lane, but no one was talking to folks in ALL the lanes and seeing how broad and deep the transformation was everywhere.

As I absorbed more I started to see the bigger picture.

It wasn't just going to be a great tool for business owners and investors.

The promise of machine learning was materializing into real life magic.

How did we get here?

In math there's something called the ‘knee of the curve’.

The knee is a point where the curve visibly bends, a clearly discernible change in the arc.

We are sitting at the knee of the curve on several different technologies at the same time and this is having a multiplicative effect.

We’re moving faster and faster into the future because of this.

This means the number of opportunities is exploding upward.

If we had a perfectly patient teacher with unlimited resources and creativity… and a willingness to try any method as long as the results worked…

We do now.
