Be warned. The world you woke up in this morning is not the same world you will fall asleep in tonight. We’ve crossed a threshold. We are no longer living in a period of linear progression.

We’ve entered the era of hypernovelty.

In the past, cultural and technological shifts took generations. A blacksmith in 1700 lived a life remarkably similar to a blacksmith in 1800. Today, the landscape of reality shifts beneath our feet in real-time. Every week brings a new breakthrough that renders old skills obsolete and births entirely new industries. We are facing a tsunami of generative capability, scientific discovery, and societal restructuring.

This brings two distinct payloads: New Wonders and New Terrors.

The wonders are obvious: the collapsing of the cost of intelligence, the solving of protein folding, the ability to create art, code, and literature in seconds. The terrors are more subtle but equally potent: the erosion of truth, the fracture of shared reality, and mostly, the rising tide …
